The new Maruti SX4 has been launched. The SX4 has an engine equipped with an advanced variable valve timing (VVT) technology.

A 4-speed automatic transmission variant was also introduced by Maruti. The VVT technology ensures that there will never be wastage or power shortage and as a result there will be better engine efficiency, optimized fuel consumption and less carbon dioxide.

The SX4 is among first cars in the A-3 segment that abide by the BS IV regulation of emission.

The SX4 has a more efficient engine that has a fuel efficiency of 15.6 km per litre of petrol. The 1.6 litre engine turns out a maximum power of 104.68ps @5600 rpm and a high torque of 145Nm @4100 rpm. The new SX4 has a honeycomb grille and 10-spoke 16 inch alloy wheels and dual tones interiors and plush upholstery. The SX4 also has auto climate control system, windshield antenna, illuminated key insert, windshield antenna, and variable instrument illumination.

The new SX4 comes with a two-tone beige colour interior. The steering mounted controls are illuminated at night for effortless handling. On the dashboard of the SX4 there is a new provision of USB connectivity.

Manual and automatic are the two variables available of the SX4. The two variants in manual transmission are VXi and ZXi. Seven metallic colouring option of the SX4 is available .

The SX4 VXi manual is priced at 6.68 lakh, SX4 ZXi manual at 7.37 lakh, SX4 ZXi leather at 7.71, SX4 ZXi 4-speed automatic at 8.02 lakh, and SX4 ZXi leather 4-speed automatic at 8.36 lakh.

Yet another car from Chevrolet, Cruze, has been made launched in the Indian car market. The car is a midsize sedan that will be a great companion for the family drives. The company has launched Cruze at this time of the year expecting huge sales because of the upcoming festival, Diwali

LT and LTZ are the two variants of Cruze and it will have an engine similar to Chevrolet Captiva. The Chevrolet Cruze will have a 2.0-litre diesel engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. GM’s global Delta 2 platform is being used to build the car. The Chevrolet Cruze has spacious and alluring interiors the car also has airbags and ABS, multi-information display unit, well-laid instrument cluster, rain sensing wipers, funky interiors, and keyless entry and start. And the car also has an attractive fuel efficiency of 183 kilometres per litre.

Porsche, the German auto maker, has launched the Panamera finally, putting an end to the long wait for the luxury sports sedan. The S, 4S, and Turbo will be the three Panamera variants available. The Porsche Panamera S and 4S will be available in 395bhp 4.8-litre V8 engine and the Turbo has 493bhp 4.8-litre V8 twin turbo engine. The Panamera has a 6-speed manual transmission for the base model and a 7-speed PDK gearbox.

The car has well defined and sporty exteriors and elegant and sophisticated interiors. Porsche Panamera is a four-seater that has all the high tech funstions. The interiors are richly styled with leather, aluminium and wood. For entertainment, it has a High-End Surround Sound System from Burmester. The seats are electrically controllable and have enough leg space and better head rest. The safety features of the car include Porsche stability management, ABS, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake

The Porsche Panamera S is available at Rs.1.44 crore , Rs. 1.49 crore for the Panamera 4S, and Rs. 2.05 crore for the Panamera Turbo.

Cayman, 911 Convertible, and Boxter are other Porsche cars in Indian car market.

Nissan launched its new Teana and X-trial. Both the models after the facelift look exuberant. The new Teana has bigger front grilles that give a 3-D image, the integrated fog lamps on the bumpers, and the exterior mirror contours. The Teana stands tall on 17-inch alloy wheels. The new Nissan Teana sports has retractable glass sunroof with UV protection. The stylish interior has wood finish with supple leather seats, sofa-like armrests, wood grain trim and cosseting leg-rest to support the lower legs.

The 2.5-litre V6 DOHC engine is that can churn out a power of 180bhp. Teana will be available in two variants in India. The 2.5XL variant has a price tag of Rs. 21,03,000 and the 2.5XV is priced at Rs. 25,40,000 (Ex showroom, New Delhi)

The new Nissan X-trail, an SUV, has a high ground clearance and has a roof-rail with lamp that highlights the design of the SUV’s body. The high-quality beige interior, soft touch dashboard, cubby holes and cup holders, large boot space with a removable drawer for extra convenience

The new X-Trail has the latest M9R Diesel Engine. The 2L 4-cylinder in-line, turbocharged engine guarantees a very comfortable drive. Designed for road use the the X-Trail off-road competency too.

LT, SLX and SLX are the three editions X-trial will be available in. The LT and SLX has a 6-speed manual transmission gearbox and the SLX AT comes with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The new X-Trail is available at a price of Rs 20.81 Lakh for the LT, Rs 23.18 Lakh for the SLX variant, and Rs 25.08 Lakh for the SLX AT (Ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Volvo is making use of the flourishing luxury car market of India. The Swedish luxury carmaker has plans to launch S60 in India and it is expected to hit the Indian car market by 2010. Before Volvo introduces S60 in India, it will be relaunched in the European car market. In Europe the car will be launched towards the middle of next year.

The S60 was available in the European car market until May this year, when it was completely removed from the European car market. But for the Indian car market, this is an addition to its luxury cars.

The S60 will be imported to India from its parent facility in Belgium as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). This new car will be an advanced model of the S60 previously available in the market.

Volvo is planning to start an assembly plant in India once it is able to sell over 3,000 units. The price of Volvo S60 that will be available in India is not yet known.

A special edition from Chevrolet Aveo has been unveiled by General Motors India. This launch is a sign of unshaken business of GM in the country. This launch is also a part of the company’s plan to build its business in India

The special edition can be called as a new edition as it is equipped with latest functions and features that would make it more acceptable to the customers. The new version comes with a diesel engine and has refreshed interiors and safety features  

The special edition of Chevrolet Aveo has the added features of height adjustable driver’s seat; brakes with anti-lock facility; gear knob, upholstery and steering wheel made of leather, illuminated key cylinder, provision of airbag for driver, and rear armrest with cup holders. But all of these options will differ depending on the version.

The pricing of the makes the car really interesting as the special edition of Chevrolet Aveo shares its pricing with the Chevrolet Aveo. And Pricing of both the cars ranges from Rs 5.96 to Rs 6.97. GM India was never been affected by bankruptcy and its complications the parent company was going through in America.

Yeti, a new model from Skoda, will be launched in India by the first quarter of 2010. The Skoda Yeti has high seating position and other than this it is a premium hatchback. The Yeti, like any other model from Skoda will be stylishly designed and will be high in quality and performance.

This crossover was launched at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show by Skoda. The Skoda has equipped the Yeti for Indian roads which will be different from its European model. Initially, only the petrol version of the model will be available, for now, the diesel version will not be launched.  Expectations are that, it will be provided in two engine options such as 1.8-litre  and 1.2-litre petrol engines and will have turbocharged engine.

The Yeti will be an eco friendly car which will emit less amount of carbon dioxide. The high fuel efficiency and extremely spacious interiors will make it a favourite choice of the Indian families. Skoda Yeti comes with a price tag of Rs 10 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has launched its fifth global car Ritz at an introductory price of Rs 3.90-4.99 lakh ex-showroom in Delhi. The new car is available in both, petrol and diesel engine options.

 The Ritz is available at Rs 3.9 lakh for the base 1.2-litre petrol variant, while the fully-loaded version, with airbags and anti-lock brake system, comes at Rs 4.8 lakh. The Ritz diesel equipped with 1.3-litre engine comes in two variants, available at Rs 4.65 lakh and Rs 4.99 lakh respectively.

The Ritz is Maruti Suzuki’s first car in India conforming to Bharat-IV emission norms. It has not replaced any existing Maruti Suzuki car. Maruti has modified Ritz by increasing its road clearance to 170 mm and a more powerful 1.2 litre engine to meet stiff driving conditions in India.

Audi is planning to start a program for its car models. According to the program, the luxury car manufacturer is planning to add 40 more models in it product line by the year 2015. The car manufacturer is very confident and is in full swing to with its strategies.

 Audi Q3 from SUV segment will hit the European market by 2011 and will be seen on the Indian roads by either by 2011 end or by early 2012. In Audi’s Q range of cars, Q5 and Q7 already shine in the global market.

Just last month Skoda introduced an all new Superb variant with 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine. The launch has surpassed the expectations of the company and so Skoda was fueled to introduce new variants with better features and technologies. As a result the car manufacturer launches New Superb in diesel V6 and 4x4 petrol variants.

The new diesel variant of the car is driven by a powerful 2.0-litre TDI that is mated to automatic 6-speed, DSG, with manual Tiptronic gear changing and Pump Duse (PD) along with a high pressure direct injection system. These technologies together deliver a lethal combination of power and fuel efficiency. And if you take a glance at the new Superb the distinctive, individualistic and exceptional design reclaims a 7-star experience on wheels.

The all new petrol variant with the 3.6-litre V6 4x4 variant generates a power of 260 bhp and a top speed of 250 km/h. Under the hood the engine is mated to a DSG gearbox that offers power to the road through a fourth-generation Haldex clutch variable four-wheel drive system.

The launch of new Superb variants was followed by the inauguration ceremony of Skoda’s 61^st facility in India. This new facility is the largest concept showroom established by the name of Tafe Access in Bangalore.

The new Skoda Superb 2.0-litre TDI PD and 3.6-litre V6 FSI 4x4are priced at Rs 22,04,943 and Rs 25,31,343 (Ex-Showroom-New Delhi) respectively.
