Logan is a mid size sedan that has brought heavy business to the joint venture between the Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra and the French carmaker Renault. But the poor sales of the car is forcing both Mahindra and Renault to think ways in which they can improve the sales and a way out of the situation where the companies has no gains but only loss.
The company faces a troubled situation where the once highest selling model of this brand Logan is no more bringing them fortune. And being having only a single model this brand is solely dependent on the Logan, which gives them bread and butter. The companies is now thinking about many plans that will improve the current situation of the company and one among the suggestion is to bring out a new Logan, rather a facelifted one. And together with that make the car ready for the new emission norms.
Already have been invested a huge amount it is still unknown how much do they have to contribute for the new project.
Mahindra has now equipped Xylo with the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) technology. Xylo is a very successful model of Mahindra and this latest addition to the model is expected to help it improve sales. The ABS technology is a safety system which, while braking, prevents the wheels from locking especially in loose gravel, snow, etc. ABS will make Xylo a safer vehicle to travel.
Mahindra has taken special care in making the car as it was thinking in the customer’s way. It had a very elaborate post-production procedure, as it wanted to bring out a completely new car that would meet the needs of the customers. And this could be cited as a reason for the flawless make of the car. Xylo is powered by a 112 bhp 2.5-litre turbocharged mEagle diesel engine and is available in four variants namely E2, E4, E6, and E8. The car is developed on a new platform and has absolute luxury comforts. The exteriors and interior features include bold grille, illuminated spoiler, foldable rear seats, and easy-to-read instrumentation with a wide range of other unique features including Digital Drive Assist System (DDAS), foldable flight trays, flat bed front seats, and surround cool dual ACs, to name a few.
Initially ABS will be available only in the high-end version of E8. Mahindra has plans to make available this feature in other variants also in future. ABS-enabled Xylo will be available through the dealers by the end of June and will be priced at Rs 8.18 Lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).
Following a grand debut in India Mahindra Xylo now drives to Nepal. Xylo has received a tremendous response from car buyers across the country and has registered incredible sales in just a few months.
In Nepal Mahindra will only launch the top-end variant E8 and the 8-seater E2 model. It is believed that in Nepal Mahindra holds a strong presence and with the launch of this powerful car from its stable the company plans to further strengthen its foothold there.

After witnessing seven years of Scorpio’s success in the Indian car market Mahindra has introduced a New Scorpio named as Mighty Muscular. ‘Mighty Muscular Scorpio’ stamps on Indian roads with its muscular stances and powerful technologies.
The new car is aggressively created with muscular design cues, bold stances, and toned structure. The exterior of the car is beautified with features like signature front grille, easy-to-grip door handles, wraparound headlamps, bonnet scoop, rear integrated footsteps, and powered ORVMs. The signature front grille complemented with a glint of silver in the middle makes the front fascia more commanding.
The interior of the car is adorned with rich fabric upholstery, ergonomically designed foam fitted seats, 2-DIN car audio system, racing-inspired gear knob, and steering wheel mounted controls. The dual tone colour themes further add more beauty to the car’s ambience.
The New Scorpio is powered by a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder, mHawk diesel engine that generates 120 bhp and accelerates the car from 0 to 60 km/h in 5.7 seconds. It is also equipped with micro-hybrid technology that helps reduce emissions and increase fuel efficiency. With all powerful and revolutionary technologies the new Scorpio becomes India’s first car compliant to BS IV emission norms.
The new Mighty Muscular Scorpio is available in five variants with a starting price of Rs 7.2 Lakh (Ex-Showroom-New Delhi).
However this plant is located in the Bommasandra Industrial Area on the outskirts of the Bangalore city and has made an investment of Rs 2.2 billion high-tech facility, with a research and development centre.
This centre will manufacture instrument clusters for cars, commercial vehicles and two-wheelers, electronic control units for power-assisted steering and body control units for interiors, immobilizers and engine management systems for diesel and gasoline engines.
The company senses that the flourishing Indian automotive market has become deliberately important for them to expand their business in the sub-continent. However the Continental AG is catering electronic components and systems to Indian global OEMs like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motors, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra, General Motors, Ford, and Skoda.
