The launch of the revamped Maruti SX4 and Ford Fiesta could be an important factor behind the company’s decision to launch the facelifted Verna in India.
The Verna was launched by Hyundai in India back in 2005. Since the time, the car has not received any major change in its looks. The growing struggle in the auto industry has forced the company think about bringing in the new looking Verna to India.
We are not clear about the changes that the car would receive, and whether it will be able to conquer the hearts of the Indian car lovers. We are neither aware of the launching date of this new Verna nor the price of the car.
In a recent study, it has been revealed that the mobile phone advertisements have a bigger share in influencing the buying needs of the Indian car buyer.
Leading Indian car manufacturers such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Tata who are more into small cars have taken the help of mobile phone advertisements to lure their customers. Indian consumer of today’s being more information hungry has contributed to this innovative method.
Anytime the consumer needs to buy a product, he goes online to check the options available are and what existing buyers are saying about it.
This stands true for Cars and that is the reason, car makers in India who are more into small cars are taking the help of digital medium like the Internet (Social media - Facebook, Twitter; comparison sites), mobile phone based ads to promote their products among customers.
A recent survey showed that mobile phone ads constitute 31% of buying decisions when it comes to Indians; globally this number is just 8%. Internet and mobile phone based text ads are low cost forms of advertising that are reaping benefits for the car companies.

The growing demand of SUV’s in India can be a reason why Hyundai might have seriously thought about the launch. For the past few months there have been an increasing number of SUVs launches in India.
Premier RiO is a very recent example of this.
Apart from Santa Fe, Hyundai also has plans of bringing a small car to India by 2011. This new small car will be an 800cc car.
Santa Fe is expected to be launched petrol as well as diesel models in the Indian car market. It will be available in 2.7-litre petrol engine and 2.2-litre diesel engine. We still don’t know the pricing of Hyundai Santa Fe. Anyways this new model from Hyundai is sure to create a tough competition for Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner, and Chevrolet Captiva.
Both Hyundai and Ford will soon have new small cars in the Indian car market. When Hyundai is concentrating more on the pricing of the car Ford is trying to emphasize more on the factor that theirs is a small car.
Hyundai had already announced its idea of a small car from the company that is priced less will be a good choice for the common man, something like Tata Nano. This new low-priced car is expected to be launched. It is expected to be an 800cc new model car and will be rolled out from the Hyundai plant in Chennai. The Korean company, Hyundai, is in for the competition, the second generation of Hyundai Equus will be soon travelling to America. There are many reasons why Hyundai is planning for this launch and we know them why.
Hyundai will not be shattered by the news about the growth and acceptance of other Asian cars, such as Indian and Chinese, among the American crowd but it will surely be on the toes. This new car launch can be seen as a product of thought, a thought for sustenance. Never think that the Hyundai is struggling, it is certainly not, but there is certainly suffocation.
The Americans has a huge list of cars to choose from and this Korean made luxury cars must not have been a candy for them until before the economic slowdown, but now it may, as the Americans are trying to reincarnate themselves from all the bitterness’s of the recession and this may make them to think in line with Equus.
Based on an all-new Hyundai Genesis luxury sedan platform, the Hyundai Equus is expected to launch in America by mid 2010. The specifications, pricing and the final name of the car is not yet decided. But all of this is expected to be announced by the company early next year.
Hyundai is anyway expecting a huge line fans for its Equus, but beware, one never knows what will happen to the American car market in the next one year, unlike now,it may not breeze a positive current for the Equus and the one year delay may do harm to Hyundai. So make hay while the sun shines.
