The global car industry is experiencing a slow down but Indian car industry seems to be on a roll. There are speculations that in the next five years the Indian car market will witness the launch of a million new cars.
India is believed to be one of the fastest growing market in the world and is expected to reach 2.6 million in the next 5 five years. In the present scenario the Indian car market stands at 1.5 million and the launch of new cars is raising the figure at a rapid pace. In the recent months many new cars have been launched including the Mahindra Xylo, Fiat Linea, Mighty Muscular Scorpio, BMW X6, new Skoda Superb variants, and the small wonder Nano. And a car like Nano that has brought a new revolution in the auto industry is sure to foster the Indian market.
These figures and speculations are not just in air. Even the international research organization, J. D. Power Asia has predicted that the Indian passenger car market would reach about 2 million by 2010. With such a promising growth India will soon take over China and U.S. in the auto sector.

Toyota has recently introduced a CNG powered Innova in the Indian car market. This is the first energy-efficient multipurpose vehicle in the country that will effectively run on CNG as well as petrol.
The CNG Innova will be fitted by a 12 kg CNG kit that can be functional with the use of a manual selector switch. The CNG kit beholds Lambda control system to ensure that it meets the Euro III emission norms. Using the switch the driver can switch over from petrol to CNG and vice versa.
The introduction of CNG Innova is aimed at increasing engine oil life, reducing emissions, and reducing maintenance costs. It is believed that using a CNG kit leads to 50% saving over diesel in running cost. This eco-friendly car also records over 90% of reduction in carbon monoxide emissions.
At present, the Innova CNG is launched only in Delhi, Mumbai, Surat, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad. It will also soon be launched in Baroda and Vijaywada.

Long back in 1995 Mercedes-Benz made its entry in the Indian car market. Since then the company has enjoyed a splendid journey. You would be excited to know that the first Mercedes-Benz car on Indian roads was an E-Class. This scintillating car has undergone various modifications and advancements to transform into the present day E-Class.

With all the car manufacturers announcing car discounts in response to the 4% cut in the excise duty rates, Tata and Ford also follow the trend.
Car manufacturers take this as an opportunity to boost the falling car sales caused to inflation and global recession. After Maruti and Hyundai, Tata announced a price cut in the range of Rs 12,000 and Rs 23,000 for its Indigo and Indica. Also, the prices of Tata Safari and Tata Sumo have been lowered in the range of Rs 16,000 and Rs 36,000. You can now but any Tata car at a comparatively cheaper price.
After Tata, even Ford follows the trend of offering car discounts. The company announces a 3% reduction in prices across all its car models in the Indian car market. The prices of Fusion, Fiesta, and Endeavour are lowered in the range of Rs 17,500 and Rs 54,000.
Car manufacturers have high aspirations from these discounts and are expecting car sales to zoom this December.

In line with all the car manufacturers including Maruti, Hyundai, and Honda, Tata Motors and Ford have also announced price cut across their range of car models in the Indian car market.
The decision to cut down the car prices is credited to the reduction in the excise duty rates announced by the government. Excitingly, Tata has reduced the prices of Indigo and Indica in the range of Rs 12,000 and Rs 23,000, depending on the variants. And the prices of Tata Safari and Tata Sumo are reduced in the range of Rs 17,000 and Rs 23,000.
After almost all the car manufacturers slashing down car prices, even Ford followed the trend and announced a 3% reduction in the car prices. All the Ford cars including the Fusion, Fiesta, and Endeavour will be now cheaper with the car prices lowered in the range of Rs 17,500 to Rs 54,000.
