Skoda Auto from Germany has announced a free maintenance plan for the new Skoda customers. The offer presents maintenance three years or 50,000 kms, whichever comes first. This is the part of the strategy to increase the car sales. The global crunch has given a tough time to all the car manufacturers. The Skoda models eligible for this offers are Skoda Octavia, Skoda Superb, Skoda Laura and Skoda Fabia. Even Volkswagen has come out with the similar plan. According to their offer Jetta will get a free maintenance for three years or 45,000 kms, which ever is earlier.
Skoda’s all new Superb will make a grand entry for this new year with all new design, style and improved performance and a new price tag. The company will also roll out small car to India in 3 to 4 years and is expected to carry the price tag ranging from Rs 3-5 Lakh.
The 'Green car' concept is is spreading its wings widely. Some car manufacturer have already rolled and some are working. Recently, the Indian car major introduced Green Cabs in Andra Pradesh. Maruti M800 AC Duo powered by LPG has been used as green cabs.
All the Green Cabs will carry a GPRS system which is connected to a call centre that monitors the
vehicle mobility. The interior is also nice and comfortable with quality materials used. Another interesting thing it will have the lowest fare compared to other taxi fare.
At the inaugural function of the 'Green Cab' the keys of the first M800 AC Duo was given to the Swarupchand Kothari, promoter of the Green Cab by the Transport Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr.Kanna Laxminarayana, and Mr R.S. Kalsi, Chief General Manager for Sales, Maruti Suzuki.
