Special Edition SUVs from Volvo
Volvo Car India is planning to introduce 25 SUVs as special edition. This special edition SUVs will be introduced in support with the Volvo Ocean Race. All the 25 models will be completely imported to India. In India the company shines with its models like Volvo C70, Volvo S8o and XC 90.
Volvo plans to strengthen its position in the Indian car industry and the special edition launches will further provide a strong base for the company. These special edition SUV's will be rolled out in 10,000 numbers internationally as a part the Volvo Ocean Race.
Presently Volvo has four dealers located at Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chandigarh and by 2009 six more will join them across the country. The Volvo Ocean Race edition XC 90 is launched in two colours, Blue Pearl and Electric Silver metallic colour. The XC90 5-seater comes with the price tag of Rs 50 Lakh and the 7-seater with Rs 51.5 Lakh.
